Souillac – Gris Gris
Wind blows during the whole year. The melody of the big waves will welcome you. On the cliffs of Gris Gris admire the power and breaking of the Indian Ocean. Here it has been able to model the cliffs so that we can believe we are at Dover.
We will then visit the Mascarenes reserves, (Crocodile park). You will meet the oldest tortoises of the world, of crocodiles, and a variety of endemic species, typical to the Indian ocean flourish here. And .. A msueum of butterfly, iguana, snakes...
Do not forget you mosquito repellent creams, as here you will be like on full jungle.
The village of Mahebourg
Going through Beau-Vallon, we reach Mahebourg. It is a very important village due to its proximity with the airport and its historic cachet. It is situated at the bottom of the bay of Old Grand Port from where the first Dutch colony installed themselves as from 1638…
To learn a bit more we will go to the Naval Museum of Mahebourg, one of the most interesting museum of Mauritius.
