Sindbad Diving is owned by Nico Kux, a 3*** CMAS Scuba Diving instructor, member of the MSDA (Mauritius Scuba diving association,) and is managed by Ertl Uwe, TDN 6****** DIWA, 3*** CMAS-MSDA .
Sindbad Diving has ear-marked up to 40 Dive sites, including Wrecks, Caves, Sharks, drop-offs and more can be visited, depending on Qualification and weather conditions. Double dives and Special dives to the outer islands are possible.
Two dive-trips a day - departure at 9.00 am. and 1.00 pm.
Trips last 2 to 2 ½ hours
Boats and Equipment - 3 boats are in use.
• One 130 Hp Turbo Diesel inboard GFK. For up to 9 persons,
• One 30 Hp outboard GFK Piroge for up to 12 persons,
• Twin 15 Hp and one 25 Hp outboard Rubber Inflatable for schooling and short dive trips for up to 5 persons
• Boats are equipped with: VHF Radio, Sonar, First Aid Kid, Oxygen.
Scuba diving Equipment:
• 14 complete sets of gear. (Scubpro-Spiro)
• 25 Bottles of 10 and 12 litres.
• 2 Compressors: One 180L/min Bauer and One 300L/min Becker and Söhne.
• Underwater photography possible.
Diving Lessons & Courses
- Scuba diving training from Novice to Assistant Instructor levels
- Elementary certification as from 12 year old
- Open-water training and certification as from 14 year old
- Special courses in Orientation, Rescue, Night, Deep, Wreck, Equipment, boatmanship
- Snorkeling and Initiations to scuba diving courses on demand.
