Carved into the rugged south-west savannah land coast of Mauritius, between mountain and sea, Tamarina Golf Estate and Beach Club is the first residential golf estate on the island. Overlooking the crisp blue waters of Tamarin Bay, crossed by the beautiful Black River gorges and Rempart River, the Estate stretches over 206 hectares of what was once a deer hunting chassé, at the foot of towering Rempart Mountain.

Tamarina Estate is located near the village of Tamarin, 25 km south of the capital Port-Louis and 45 minute drive from the island's airport. Many prestigious 4 & 5 star hotels including The Taj Exotica Resort & Spa (5 star+), Sugar Beach, La Pirogue, Sofitel, The Sands and The Hilton are located in this area at Flic-en-Flac. Other accommodation of a high standard is available along this coast at 3 star hotels such as the Klondike, Hotel Le Tamarin or Villas Caroline.
The first Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) project in Mauritius, Tamarina Golf Estate and Beach Club has been developed under a new property law that entitles internationals to buy land on the island and to acquire Mauritian residency for the duration of their ownership. This premier golfing destination, is fully owned and operated by the Medine Group, a group historically associated with sugar cane farming and industry but now also involved in commercial, agricultural and leisure activities as well as real estate development. 119 luxury villas are currently under construction and the whole estate will be completed by end of 2008.
